Service protection 3 years Range 5 Coverage for servicing your SINAMICS converter, with an extended service period of 3 years. "Service protection 3 years" must be purchased separately and on the same day when purchasing the new device, at the latest, however, max. 90 after purchase of the product to be protected; online registration is required. In the event of a recognized service case within the service period, the registered product is exchanged or repaired free of charge. SERVICE PROTECT 3 YEARS Coverage of your SINAMICS Inverter for service cases with an additional period of 3 years. An approved service case within the contract period is followed by an exchange or repair free of charge for the registered product. SERVICE PROTECT 3 YEARS must be purchased on the day of the Product purchase, or latest within 90 days of associated Product purchase, and needs a successful online registration. The contract term begins automatically 12 months after the associated Product purchase. Online product registration https://myregistration.siemens.com. Requirement for service provision: The processes worldwide is performed through the relevant Siemens departments for spare parts and repair processes. Please provide the serial number and product number (MLFB) of the registered products as well as the related confirmation of registering. Repair or replacement of the defective product is under Siemens’ discretion. Exclusion from scope of service - Defective Products are not covered by SERVICE PROTECT if the defect results from: Non-compliance with the Siemens project planning and user guidelines, e.g. improper installation, grounding, operation or handling, function-critical contamination, e.g. oil, conductive substances, rust, mechanical damages, transportation damages, external electrical influences, e.g. overvoltage, compensation systems without reactor protection, circuit feedback, negligence, willful misconduct or wanton destruction, or force majeure events. The replacement of consumables / wear and tear materials is not covered by SERVICE PROTECT. Services requested after the chosen contract term or outside the scope of SERVICE PROTECT will be invoiced separately. Extended coverage for repair or exchange Band 5.
