A KVM over IP Access provides control from a network to a Computer or KVM Switch that do not have built-in over IP functionality.
The Lindy KVM over IP Access DVI-I, USB & PS/2 is a hardware solution that allows users to remotely control a computer or KVM Switch. Ideal for system administrators who need to control multiple PC’s or servers connected to a KVM Switch from any location with an internet connection.
This device can be easily installed near the KVM device you need to manage via USB and DVI ports, it can be also be connected to legacy PCs with PS/2 and VGA ports using the PS/2 KM cable and the included DVI to VGA adapter. Screen resolutions of up to 1920x1200 are supported with intelligent compression technology, ensuring optimised video transmission when used in data centres or traffic management setups. It is a perfect solution for home working, you only need to connect it to your workstation in the office and then you can manage your PC from any location with internet connection.
A local console can be connected to the 2 USB and DVI-I ports on the front panel while a USB Wi-Fi port on the rear can be used to connect a Wi-Fi dongle (chipset supported is Realtek RTL8192CU) and create a connection to a wireless network.
The KVM over IP Access can be configured with different encryption levels, providing greater control over users, perfect for large-scale control systems in transport hubs or surveillance centres. It supports up to 256 user accounts, up to 8 users can access simultaneously and share control.
The viewers for Windows or Java are easily downloaded after logging in from web browser.
