For added convenience IR signals (20-60kHz) can also be extended using the supplied IR receiver and emitter cables. Supporting resolutions up to 4K30, including 1080p 3D, the Splitter Extender is designed for use in AV and digital signage appliCat.ions for a variety of settings such as home, eduCat.ion, business, retail and healthcare. An integrated HDMI® loop-through output on the transmitter unit enables simultaneous viewing so that a local display can be connected for monitoring, or to create an additional viewing zone. For larger installations, the HDMI® loop-through port can also be used to cascade up to 3 transmitters allowing up to 12 displays to be connected to a single source. The HDMI® loop-through port also allows the Splitter Extender to clone the EDID of a connected display. An integrated EDID emulation system provides EDID presets for ultimate compatibility with a variety of EDID enabled devices. Power over Cable (PoC) functionality provides power for the complete installation using only a single power supply connected to the transmitter - a perfect solution for retro fit installations where receivers may be loCat.ed away from a mains power supply. The power supply is connected via a screw type DC jack, providing a secure and reliable connection, ideal for installations where accidental disconnections could occur. For added convenience the Splitter Extender’s slim design and integrated mounting brackets make it easy to install in limited spaces behind modern flat screen displays.
