Description

This SC Unicam optic connector with singlemode OS2 optical performance. It is suitable for quick and easy direct termination with tight buffered fibre optic cables inside optic patchpanels and/or at workstation. Installer uses less than 1 minute to connect a connector to a tight buffered fibre. It does not require polishing unlike other no epoxy connectors. Controlled endface processing is part of the factory process. It is zirconia ceramic material ferrules, beige colored housing and boots. The Unicam connector can best be described as a mini pigtail. It incorporates a factory installable fibre stub that is fully bonded into the ferrule. The other end of the fibre is precisely cleaved and placed into the patented alignment mechanism of our mechanical splice. Both the field fibre and fibre stub are fully protected from environmental factors.
