Description
This XPSMCM safe speed monitoring module has 1 TTL encoder input (with RJ45 connector) and 2 proximity sensor inputs (connection via terminal) and captive screw clamp terminals. It is designed to monitor zero speed control, max speed (limited speed), speed range and direction. It offers up to four logically selectable limited speed thresholds (freely configurable via SoSafe Configurable software) for each logical intput (axis), and a maximum input frequency of 500kHz (for encoders) and 5kHz for proximity sensors. It completes your safety CPU with safe-speed monitoring function, ideal for cutting machines like band-saw, circular saw and grinding machines. This module figures LEDs on its front face, displaying the status (power supply, reset, internal or external errors, node address, encoder or proximity sensors connection status, speed monitoring status). The safe speed monitoring module is connected to the safety controller via the backplane expansion connector. It weighs 0.28kg. Its dimension are 22.5mm (Depth), 99mm (Height) and 114.5mm (Width). Its housing is red. It is powered with 24 VDC. This module can reach such safety levels as category 4 conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, PL = e conforming to EN/ISO 13849-1, Type 4 conforming to EN/IEC 61496-1, and SILCL 3 conforming to IEC 62061. The modular safety controllers Modicon MCM are certified by TüV SÜD meeting the industrial safety standards of Category 4, PL e according to EN/ISO 13849-1 and SILCL 3 according to IEC/EN 61508 and IEC/EN 60261. Compatible accessories for Modicon MCM module are a memory card and the backplane connector. The safe speed monitoring module instals on Omega 35mm DIN rail conforming to EN 50022, and is connected to the safety controller via the backplane expansion connector. The Modicon MCM modular safety controller system provide flexibility and scalability from 8 inputs, 2 dual/4 single channel outputs up to 128 inputs, 16 dual/32 single channel outputs, up to 32 or 48 diagnostic status outputs. Modicon MCM modular safety controller system are designed to monitor multiple safety functions on and around a machine to minimise the risk of people accessing the dangerous moving parts of the machine.
